It was officially formed on June 10\, 1925\, through the union of the Methodist Church\, the Congregational Union of Canada\, and most Presbyterian congregations\, along with the General Council of Local Union Churches. This was a groundbreaking moment\, as it was the first church union in the world to cross historical denominational lines\, earning international recognition. For a century\, the Church has been a beacon of faith\, inclusivity\, and social justice\, shaping communities across the country with its message of love and service.  As we honor this historic occasion\, we reflect on the journey that brought us here and look forward to the continued impact of the United Church in the years to come.\nFor more information on the history of the United Church of Canada\, CLICK HERE.\n\n  \n \n
