The tournament requires contestants to walk and is governed by RCGA Rules. That tournament is known as THE OPTIMIST and is one of the largest and best-known junior golf tournaments in the world. DESCRIPTION:Get ready\, Calgary!  On Wednesday\, December 2nd\, 2026\, the spotlight will shine bright as we celebrate the Optimist Club of Calgary Festive Showcase at the iconic Jubilee Auditorium.\nThis isn’t just an event—it’s a jubilant celebration of talent\, heart\, and community spirit!  Local youth musicians and dancers will hit the stage to perform the dazzling routines they’ve been pouring their passion into all season long—live\, in front of a roaring audience\, under professional lights.  From captivating choreography to breathtaking musical performances\, this unforgettable evening is a tribute to empowering young artists and bringing magic to Calgary’s holiday season. \nHosted by the Heebee-jeebees\, the performing groups will include the 7-Time Global Award Winning Calgary Stampede Showband\, The Young Canadians\, the Stetson Show Band\, the Calgary Round-Up Band\, and several other performing groups.  Let’s make this silver anniversary sparkle! \n \nTICKETS:  More information on how to purchase tickets will be posted in the fall of 2026   \nDRESS CODE:  Casual \nPARKING:  Parking is available at the Jubilee Auditorium \nLast year\, approximately 1\,500 people attended the event and enjoyed some incredible music\, singing\, and dance performances.  This year promises to be even better! \n\n\n\n\n   \n\n\n\n   \nThe above pictures are from last year’s Optimist Festive Showcase Concert
