Ready to stir up that Stampede spirit before the midway madness kicks off? Then don’t miss this unforgettable evening with fellow Optimist Club of Calgary members and guests on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM!

🌟 You’re invited to a private tour and viewing at the Sam Centre, the immersive gateway to the heart and history of the Calgary Stampede. Experience stories, exhibits, and behind-the-scenes magic that bring our Western heritage to life—long before the fireworks fly and rodeo dust settles.

🤠 It’s an exciting pre-Stampede adventure packed with camaraderie, culture, and cowboy charm. Grab your hat and boots and join the celebration early!

LOCATION:

• 632 13 Ave SE, Calgary- Right across from the Calgary Stampede’s Youth Campus
• Parking is located on 12th Ave and 5A St, directly west of Sam Centre.

COST:

• FREE – Optimist Club of Calgary members and their guests (one guest per Optimist member)

MEETING LOCATION:

• The Sam Centre is closed on Tuesdays.  However, Optimist members and guests are asked to meet at the front entrance of the SAM Centre.  We will be let in as a group.

• The Sam Centre shares the Stampede Story through multiple mediums: exhibits, an immersive digital experience, personally facilitated moments, and an artifact and archival collection space. Sam Centre is a one-of-a-kind place animated by captivating showcases, vibrant learning spaces, and compelling storytelling, all brought to life through the knowledge, warmth, and hospitality of Sam volunteers and employees, with you at the center of the action.
