Optimist Club of Calgary Monthly Meeting Wednesday January 10th

Our regularly scheduled monthly meetings give members an excellent opportunity to socialize with each other and engage with fantastic guest speakers on current topics.  Members can attend in person or via ZOOM.  Free parking is available at the back of the restaurant.

Meeting Guest Speaker:  Adam Noble-Johnson, Leader, Community Relations, Green Line, The City of Calgary

Discussion Topic:   Presentation and update on Calgary’s Greenline LRT.   The new LRT (light rail transit) project is the largest infrastructure investment in our city’s history.  It comes with $5.5 billion in commitments from the Government of Canada, the Government of Alberta, and The City of Calgary.  Phase 1 of the Green Line LRT will serve tens of thousands of Calgarians daily, connecting communities from the southeast to central Calgary.
