2025 AMS&NW District 2nd Quarter Conference February 7th and 8th in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

Attention Optimists!

We are pleased to announce the 2nd Quarter District Meeting will be held in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan at the Moose Jaw Convention & Exhibition Centre (located at 250 Thatcher Drive East) on Friday, February 7th, and Saturday, February 8th, 2025.  The Friendly City Optimist Club of Moose Jaw will be hosting the meeting.

• IMPORTANT:  Because of the Canada Post Strike, please don’t mail your registration form or cheque.
• IF YOU LIVE IN CANADA –  you can etransfer your registration fee to Rob Barber (Club Treasurer) at rjbarber@sasktel.net and your registration form to Eleanor Matice (Meeting Chair) at ematice@yahoo.ca.
• IF YOU LIVE IN THE USA – please just email your registration form to Eleanor Matice at ematice@yahoo.ca and you can pay when you get to Moose Jaw.

URGENT – PLEASE READ:

A lot is happening in Moose Jaw on the same weekend and most hotels are already full.  However, a block of rooms has been reserved at both hotels as long as rooms are booked BEFORE January 6th. Mention you are attending the Optimist 2nd Quarter District Meeting. If you plan on attending the meeting, you are strongly encouraged to book a room at one of the two hotels mentioned ASAP before the hotels run out of rooms.

 TENTATIVE MEETING AGENDA:

• Friday – 4 PM or Later – Hotel check-in
• Friday – 4 PM to 7 PM – Registration
• Friday – 7:00 to 11:00 PM – Social Event – “Sugar & Spice and Notoriously Nice” – The Roaring 20s!
• Saturday – 8:00 AM to 4 PM – Meeting, Training Sessions, and Speakers
• Saturday – 6 PM – Cocktails and Socializing
• Saturday – 7 PM – Formal Banquet, Speeches, and Socializing
• Sunday – 11 AM – Checkout and head home
